Do you Remember Huang,
a little girl born deaf?

Last year she received an update to her cochlear implant and is now in a language school in Nanning learning to speak.

You might recognize her photo from our Blessing Hands website. She was so adorable with little pigtails that she became a Blessing Hands Poster Child.

Her sponsor walked alongside Huang and witnessed her succeed in education over the years. Sponsors keep in contact with Blessing Hands students and some sponsors even travel to visit their students to meet them face to face.

Here are two current photos of Huang to show her growth and her love for art. We hope you enjoy this little update about Huang.

There are other deaf students at Du An Special Education School who do not have sponsors. You can sponsor one for only $321 a year or $27 a month. It is a pleasure to give to those who cannot give back to you.

We are also raising money for an official car for the school to allow their teachers to visit home-bound students. There will be more about that in another newsletter.
Sponsors are our Students Heroes!

A Recent Thank You Letter to a Sponsor
Thank you very much for your support. With your help, I can pursue my dream of learning in high school. You helped us out of this mess. It warms all of us.
I would like to share with you my study this semester. My academic performance in our school is not particularly outstanding, but my grades are improving little by little. I will study hard and repay you with my achievements. i will use knowledge to change the path of my future life.
Thank you for giving me the chance to realize my university dream. I will pass on the baton of love in the future. I will help those in need and let them see the light in the darkness. Let the poor children go out of the mountain villages. Keep passing on your love. Just like the blessing hands video.
Thank you very much indeed.

Help us Welcome our new Intern Maggie Qin!

Maggie Qin is a 17-year-old high school senior at the Craft Academy for Excellence in Science and Mathematics. She currently serves as President of the Rotary Interact Club, a club she helped to establish at her school to serve the community through hands-on service projects.

Maggie is on the Senior Leadership Team at her school and is currently conducting plant biology research through Morehead State University. She is also a member of the speech and debate, track and field, soccer, and academic teams.

In her free time, Maggie enjoys spending time with her friends, playing the piano, painting, and walking her two dogs. Upon graduation, she plans to attend college and pursue a career in business or psychology.

Since she was born in China, Maggie is beyond excited for the opportunity to be an intern at Blessing Hands. She hopes to use her social media, marketing, and bilingual skills to foster international friendships, improve access to education, and ultimately, change lives.
