A ceremony was planned in Pubei County to give out the spring tuitions to the Blessing Hands students. Many teachers that I taught in summer English camp in 2004 also gathered to greet us. Some of them are now Blessing Hands volunteers in their schools and came with their students. The mayor of Pubei gave Nina and I beautifully inscribed ceramic pots that are locally made there. Best of all we got to meet the Blessing Hands students and give them a personal touch. They gave us thank you letters, drawings, and handmade gifts. Pubei had a terrible flood last spring and many of the student's homes were washed away. After such a loss, many of them would not have been able to return to school without the Blessing Hands tuitions.
