This request for help recently came from David Moe from Khinphong Village in Myanmar's Chin State. "Since May 13, 2021, my hometown has been placed under martial law due to the local civilians' resistance to the military armies with homemade hunting guns, "tumee" in Burmese. Since then, about 90% of the residents, including my parents, have left Mindat town for the jungles and villages to seek safety.
The military army entered people’s houses and stole their private property. In my parents’ house, they left some bullets. My parents and other civilians are scared of the military army, so they have chosen to live in the jungle and villages as refugees.
They desperately need financial aid for their daily food, clothes, shelter, and medical care. Now the third wave of COVID-19 is so bad that life is even harder. |
