I have created a new webpage with a little help from my son.
We have had a great website made by students. from MSU, however, I could never upgrade it, and they graduated and went on to jobs and lives.
Recently I found Google Sites that will let me create and manage our own website. I can update it just like doing a newsletter and add information very easily. You can even select a student to sponsor from two slide shows.
Now our advertising grant from Google will work much better with responsive landing pages for our ads. I am excited about the possiblities. There is only one bad thing - it might not get through China's great firewall.

Pizza at the Kroger Center is offering to give at least 10% of dinner purchases to Blessing Hands next Thursday. Just put your receipt in the receptacle marked Blessing Hands by the cash register.
They also have a rewards system that will give Pepperoni passes to those who give out fliers with their names on the back. The fliers given in with their names earn them passes for free pizzas values.

New Children's Epidemic Prevention Project
Mandy Ma, my friend who used to work for the World Vision Charity, is helping us with a Children's Epidemic Prevention Project in two villages high in the mountains several hours away from Nanning, China. It is in the remote country side in the Du'an Township of Hechi District. It takes nearly 4 hours on foot to get there from the nearest town. There are several thousand Yao ethnic minoritychildren in this UNESCO designated proverty area. They are deprived by their environment, scarce water, and inconvenient location to medical care. The children lack nutrition and even basic medical security like vaccinations. They had a measles outbreak two years ago.
AmyChen, who works in the health station there and knows the needs of these kids, will administer the program. The soil of this region is stony, erosive, and dry with karst mountains isolating them from the outside world, especially basic public health.
Two target villages have been selected for this pilot project. Two village healers have been recruited to coordinate with the township health center. Since the Yao are an ethnic group under their own automomous rule, the local healer will need to play a cultural role acceptable to the local people in this remote countryside.

ach month the local "doctor" will be given a $14.68 (100 yuan) subsidy. The total sum will be $14.68 X 12 (months) x 2 = $352 (2400 yuan) for one year.Amy Chen will be in charge of training the village "doctors", and negotiating the contract with them.
